OUR LAWS
ARE UNDER ATTACK

Enshrined in 1949, the Geneva Conventions explicitly state that
"hospitals, ambulances, and medical personnel shall not be attacked under any circumstances".
76 years later, with nearly 130 active conflicts worldwide, these protections are being systematically ignored.

In 2024 alone, more than 1,600 attacks on health care facilities were reported globally.
That's over four hospitals, clinics, or ambulances targeted every single day.

"Laws Under Attack".
A three-phased campaign to document war crimes, prevent future attacks, and hold world leaders accountable

Documenting War Crimes

The ICRC began by spray-painting the Geneva Conventions word-by-word onto the walls of the bombed hospitals and damaged ambulances in conflict zones.

Every bullet hole and shapnel mark cuts through the text, revealing exactly how the law has been violated.

Preventing Future Attacks

The ICRC painted 'This is not a target' on the rooftops of active hospitals and ambulances,

messages large enough to be read by war drones and the world leaders watching their live feeds.

Note: The rooftop visuals are AI-generated.
The hospital is located in a high risk area. We were advised that launching a drone to film or photograph the rooftop would be immediately detected by the military. This could result in the drone being shot down and potentially place the hospital at greater risk. For safety reasons, we chose not to deploy any drones.
